Small place that you would drive right by if you didn't know about. Food was really good. Sandwiches are big my wife and I shared and got the buffalo shrimp for an app. Servers we very friendly. Nice little lunch spot.

This is a staple in little Havana, the place you go to for fresh fish , seafood and oysters. They have weekday oysters happy hour which is great with even better prices than the ones already on the menu. The quality of the oysters is great, never had a bad oyster here. My one criticism would be that once they shuck it they don't detach it from the shell so you have to pull in a little bit or scrape it from the shell but that's not a deal breaker for the quality and price. Served with cocktail sauce, horseradish and mignonette, which is a step up from other local oyster places that just do cocktail sauce. Other must tries here are the fried shrimp and lobster, perfectly crispy, fried and seasoned. Ask for extra tartar sauce they have a delicious one here too, and of course don' t forget an ice cold beer.

This place is a great local seafood joint in central Miami. They are known for their pan con minuta but to be honest all their seafood is good and fresh. Oyster happy hour daily and plenty of seats yet always packed! If you're in the mood for some maritime fare this place will not disappoint. They do tend to run out of certain items by the late afternoon so just to keep that in mind and try an earlier lunch.

tl;dr while the pan con minuta is the most iconic item, don't sleep on the remaining fried seafood lineup While the Cubano is unofficially the signature sandwich of Miami, La Camaronera Seafood Joint & Fish Market's iconic pan con minuta (snapper sandwich) has been a local favorite for 40 years. The Garcia brothers opened their full-service pescaderia and restaurant back in 1976, and their sandwich has been hailed by media outlets and even the Michelin Guide. As my family planned a self-guided food tour through Little Havana, La Camaronera seemed like the perfect place to start. La Camaronera is located in the corner of a strip mall with a supermarket and a jewelry store. Out front, a giant white E-Z Up is raised over a mezzanined outdoor dining area. The storefront is decorated with ocean-themed street art. The interior is industrial yet polished. Commercial-grade bulbs hang from the exposed rafters, above the buffed concrete floors. The baby-blue-and-white striped walls are minimally decorated with fish paintings and a Krave Art sculpture. Oysters and snappers are in a display case on ice, and the back wall mural depicts La Camaronera's decades-long history. A handful of school bus-yellow, stainless steel chairs and sticky, polished-wood tables are spread around the large space. Spanish-language music clashes with clanging from the open kitchen. We arrived for early lunch on a weekday, and no other customers were at La Camaronera at the time. However, the restaurant quickly filled with locals as our meal went on. My sister and I shared the OG Minuta Sandwich. The whole snapper filet stuck out from the fluffy Cuban-style roll, and the fish was noticeably more flavorful than the oft-used tilapia varieties. The light breading was enjoyably crispy, while the diced onions and sauces rounded out the flavors. Meanwhile, our side of Platano Maduras was crisp and caramelized. Service was quick and friendly throughout our meal, and the sandwich worked out to $20 (after tax and tip). The platter was moderately large, but may not fill up a reasonably hungry appetite. In any case, this pan con minuta was my sister's favorite meal during our entire Florida visit, so it certainly lives up to the hype.

If you want a delicious seafood burrito with all the fixins, this is the place!!! I decided to go against the grain and ordered Arsenio's Favorite Burrito instead of the OG Minuta Sandwich, while both looked delicious, the burrito hands down was probably the best seafood burrito I've had in a long time. The shrimp and fish was mixed in with some creamy sauce that left me needing a nap after I was done! Service was 5 and food came pretty quick, highly recommend you arrive before the lunch hour otherwise it can get crowded. I see why this place is a local favorite!

On my first stop in Miami, I came for a shrimp sandwich! My friend recommended this place to me and said I had to get a sandwich. The shrimp sandwich was on special for $7 so naturally I got that. The shrimp itself tasted so fresh. The sandwich was simple with no frills, and packed a good flavor!!! The service is quick and efficient. We came on a Thursday around 2 pm and almost every table was occupied, but without it feeling overwhelming. Even though almost every table was occupied, we were still able to get a seat right away. There is a sign that says cash only, but they do accept cards. If you want a quick, affordable, tasty lunch then this is the spot for you!
